yes, I did it. Shortly after yesterday’s post in fact. The IT guy came in roundabout 11:45AM, and while he was working on the printer, I said I’d quickly pop out to submit my thesis and I would be back in 5 minutes. So I did it and afterwards went to get a coffee, [...]

I’m sitting in my office waiting for IT to come down and repair my printer. Once they come in, I’ll quickly have to close the pages of this blog as only yesterday I vented some anger at them
Anyhow, on my desk there are three shiny bound copies of my PhD thesis to submit [...]

Tomorrow’s the day where I’ll be handing in the bound copies. How do I feel about it? Good! but not exceptionally so. Somehow counting down to the expected date of last Friday has taken some of the excitement out of it.
A new stumbling block was put my way yesterday, when I had yet another run-in [...]

Today I want to write about what I really want - but I’m not going to (yet). I thought only last night that I need some sections of my blog to be invisible and I wondered whether that was possible, or whether I need to start another, a private, blog.
For example, whenever I apply to [...]

This is going to be quick. I don’t have much to say. Quite tired and kind of running out of topics. Today I’ve tried to do nothing much, so I slept until 10AM, then had a bath, then met up with some friends for lunch at 1pm. Now I’m back home and getting ready for [...]

yes, we’re in the negatives now until Wednesday 20th. So we’ll get up to minus 05 :D. Nothing much to say today, other than that with regard to career/job applications etc. I’ve decided to
(a) only apply for the jobs I’m REALLY interested in and
(b) not get too stressed out about it. E.g. I’m only going [...]

I think I’ll have to continue counting down using negative numbers (automatthias agrees), at least until next Wednesday (20th) as it looks like that will be the day that I finally submit the bound copies (I submitted a non-bound copy yesterday, so that half counts. The reason why I’m going to keep counting is that [...]

Things have gone a little bit Pete Tong. Just a tiny bit.
[just when I wrote this, the printer in my office fucked up. So I just had to call IT helpdesk to come and fix it for me. Looks like I'll be stuck in here for another good 2 hours...]
Back to what has gone Pete [...]

I’m writing this from the Speech Lab while my thesis is printing in the background (colour laser printer). Using their desktop and thererfore for the first time ever I’m using Micro$oft IE to write this blog. Odd. Where’s my tab :S
The laser printer is surprisingly fast, so hopefully I’ll be out here quick! It’s been [...]

I’m exhausted. I woke up this morning and didn’t want to get up. I know it’s only three days to go but I wish that my energy and motivation could have lasted until the actual submission date
But it hasn’t. So I have decided to actually complete it today and burn it onto CD-rom [...]
