Today the weather was really shit. I did some work on the computer (wee new job that I’m doing, rubbishy disorganised agency, relatively shite pay, big huge brand = sole reason for doing it) and then just sat around doing nothing much at all (a bit of mopping the floor, tiny bit of tidying, etc.).
Tomorrow we’re finally doing some touristy thing, though we’re going somewhere that I’ve been a couple of times before, and which therefore isn’t all that interesting to me. Plus I’ll have to drive for 1.5h there and 1.5h back.
The great thing is that I haven’t bothered with my work email account at all – though I did receive a text message from someone else to do with a third project I might get involved with. I’m meeting with that person next Wednesday in London, and will see what news they’ve got. I have a feeling I’ll be well in demand and drowning in work the minute I return, so I’m trying to enjoy my time away from it all as much as I can. I don’t even mind sitting around and talking to my mum, even though I usually find it extremely tedious and not interesting.
It’s great to just be someone else for a while – even if that someone is quite dull, doesn’t do much, and talks about mundane things (repeating things too, and going around in circles).
