I’ve just installed Google Lively and want to try it out (it was launched yesterday, and still in Beta of course, but I didn’t have Internet access).
The problem is that I now have to choose my handle. lenina is already taken (unfortunately), so is leninacrowne, and one option they’re offering me is firstname.surname. I don’t know what to do! I do want to stay anonymous (my professional ID is quite separate and I don’t want people to know what I’m doing, unless I tell them first! But I don’t want to increase my visibility online).
So I’ll have to think it over carefully.

I’ve just chosen one as I was too curious and wanted to have a look. I popped into Jen’s Coffee Room or whatever and it took ages to load. While it was loading, I saw bubbles of speech and I had seen enough. I’m going to not bother with it for now as
(a) I don’t like avatar-based chats
(b) I don’t like chats/chatrooms
(c) It takes too long to load so I’m not interested to investigate further (I may read some reviews/blogs though).
