WordPress have announced a new feature that suggests posts (from your own blog or the blogosphere) based on what it thinks is related to whatever it is you’re blogging about. Sounds like a semantic app.
At the web 2.0 expo they also announced the upcoming Monotone - theme, which is basically a photo-blog template. It looks [...]

Looking at the top right corner, I can see a link has appeared to ‘older version’ - and when you [...]

Thus far, I quite like the dashboard, apart from the widget section. For each widget column, you now have to select [...]

I’ve been wanting to clear up the category-mess on my blog for a while now. With WordPress’ introduction of tags, the categories have become somewhat superfluous.
Here’s how you can convert categories into tags.
I think it may benefit some, for instance jetsam who has far too many categories imho. I used to have plenty more than [...]

Last night, when trying to post my blog in the tiny time window that I had, WP was down
It’s a shame as I was quite excited about posting that Micro$oft have finally accepted that they’re in the wrong with their anti-competitive business practice that has been bugging me for ages (and that I [...]

I was going to write about something else entirely, but when playing with my backend ( ) I came across this new-ish WP theme - Digg 3. I checked it out on preview and immediately loved it! A perfect synthesis of widget madness and room for actually writing something, with the space on the [...]

I’ve been trying to embed an object (a flash movie) in WordPress. It doesn’t seem to work. I’ll look into it tomorrow - I seem to remember that it’s not possible to use the object tag.
I.e. it is possible, but it doesn’t work

I’ve finally ‘burnt’ my blog on Feedburner, in order to provide it as a feed (see the link ‘Subscribe in a reader’ in the first widget column). In fact, I’ve been doing a lot of research into content syndication and aggregation lately, and I want to also provide a blend or compilation of third-party feeds [...]

I’m off to Edinburgh tomorrow for the bank holiday week-end. Well, it’s not bank holiday week-end in Scotland, but it is in England (and Wales, I think)!
We’ll be driving up tomorrow after w0rk ( ) and back to London Tuesday afternoon. It’s going to be great to see our friends!
I just have to remember [...]
