Church of England interferes with Pleasure

Nothing new there.

This one slipped off my radar, probably because I was in Italy with a really unreliable Internet connection 👿

The Church of England is considering legal action against entertainment firm Sony for featuring Manchester Cathedral in a violent PlayStation video game. 

The Church says Sony did not obtain permission to use the interior in the war game Resistance: Fall of Man. 

The game, which has sold more than one million copies, shows a virtual shoot-out in the cathedral’s nave in which hundreds of enemies are killed.

 

It’s a game, Church of England! You should be happy to get some free promotion. Thus, you can reach the ever-elusive target audience of 16-25-year-olds and spread y0ur good message! For free!

Since the first news item, Sony have apologised. For God’s Sake!
