Edinburgh Castle from Scott Monument

Today I climbed the Scott Monument in Princes St, Edinburgh. It’s 287 steps to get up there, and the height at the top is 61.1 metres.

Below is a pic of Edinburgh Castle from the top – shame the weather was rather overcast, for the views were amazing! Also anyone who’s fat or claustrophobic shouldn’t attempt to go up – some of the staircases are extremely narrow and someone like Johnny Vegas (overweight British comedian) seriously wouldn’t be able to squeeze through!
